You need to target two key groups of people, when marketing Internet connection contracts.
The first group of people that you need to target, when marketing Internet connection contracts, is that of folks who have never been connected to the Internet. You’d be targeting these people in a bid to sell them their first Internet connections. To win these people over, you’d need to tell them how the Internet can be useful to them. In the earlier days of the Internet, that used to be hard. But today, with the growing awareness about the usefulness of the Internet, you are likely to find your task much easier. Actually, your task is reduced to just highlighting what the people already know about the Internet and its applications.
The second group of people that you need to target, when marketing Internet connection contracts, is that of folks who are already connected to the Internet, but who are probably dissatisfied with their Internet service providers. You’d be targeting these people in a bid to get them to switch from their Internet Service Providers, and start buying Internet connection services from you. With these people, you have to show them how you are likely to offer them a better deal. Let’s say, for instance, that they were buying Internet connectivity services from smaller ISPs, and you are selling contracts on behalf of a bigger ISP such as Verizon. you’d have to demonstrate how a bigger ISP is likely to help them. Conversely, if they were buying from a bigger ISP, and you are selling contracts on behalf of a smaller ISP, you’d have to highlight the benefits associated with the smaller ISPs.
