SpaceX on providing the best internet connection

Mach reported that last February 22, a pair of test satellites was launched into orbit and this may mark the new age of internet worldwide. This one can make the high-speed connection available not only in the cities but in the rural areas as well. Even cellphone towers and anywhere on the planet can experience this change.

“Do not tell anyone, but the wifi password is ‘martians’,” SpaceX founder Elon Musk joked in a tweet. SpaceX has not said when the network could be ready. Meanwhile, it is said that the company could begin to launch over 4000 Starlink satellites in 2019 for its first wave if Tintin A and B worked as planned. After all, it took SpaceX several years to launch the first 800 satellites need to make the network operational.

A later phase calls for the launch of an additional 7,500 satellites for a total of more than 10,000 — a “constellation” of internet-connected satellites capable of providing broadband internet from space that is “truly competitive with terrestrial alternatives,” as SpaceX said in an FCC filing approved on Feb. 14.

In addition, the later phase reportedly calls for another 7,500 satellites, which totals to 10,000. This was described as the constellation of satellites, allowing people to experience broadband internet from space. A connection that is “truly competitive with the terrestrial alternative.”

“We are always excited to see new initiatives and innovations that aim to tackle our common goal of enabling universal, affordable internet access — and particularly those that aim to connect those in rural or other underserved communities,” says Sonia Jorge, executive director of the Alliance for Affordable Internet, a group directed by the World Wide Web Foundation. “To be offline today is to be excluded. There are nearly 4 billion unconnected people and, unfortunately, a great majority of these people are those that are already marginalized in offline spaces — women, the poor, and rural populations, mostly in low- and middle-income countries,” she added.
